WELCOME MESSAGE BY THE PRESIDENT OF ACPES
Dear Participants,
On behalf of the 9th ASEAN Council of Physical Education and Sport (ACPES) Conference organising committee, I thank you for making time to join us for this exciting conference!
The 9th ACPES conference focuses on “Physical Activity, Physical Education and Sport Science”. It brings together members of academia, professionals and practitioners from the physical education, sports science, health, exercise, and sport management domains to discuss related disciplines. The speakers and presenters will share innovative approaches and impactful research findings to guide and chart the future of physical activity, physical education and sport. I am sure you will benefit from the keynote addresses, invited and institutional speakers’ sessions, oral presentations, and workshops.
On behalf of the board members of ACPES, I would like to express my appreciation to the leaders of Mahasarakham University for hosting this conference – it has been 10 years later since they last hosted. The organising committee has been working relentlessly to put together an exciting programme for you, from ASEAN countries and beyond. I am confident that this conference will be a successful one.
ACPES also wants to pay tribute to our Treasurer, Dr. Arpon Popa from Mahasarakham University, who left us on 1st June 2023. She had been a valued member of our team since 2011. She was also the key driver behind the bidding of this conference. I am sure she would be very proud of her university to be able to host this conference again after so many years.
I hope through this, ACPES will continue to promote and support staff and student exchanges, research collaborations, and educational links among higher learning institutions. Most importantly, to consolidate and enrich friendships among delegates, near and far.
